Mobile Business: Vision to Value

Mobile technology and applications are beginning to change the way we do business. If this statement leaves you uncertain that you are prepared for the future, then this seminar is for you. You will learn the meaning of all of the technology buzzwords, what technology is available today, and where things are headed.

In this seminar, you will learn about the technology and customer needs that are driving mobile business (m-commerce and mobile enterprise applications). If you have been charged with developing a business model for your unit or business that effectively uses mobile technology to further your customer or employee relations, this seminar will give you the tools to plan effectively and strategically for today and the future.

Mobile Business: Vision to Value is a seminar designed to guide executives in developing, implementing, and evaluating strategies for mobile business. It is intended to help organize the confusion encasing mobile business. It addresses how firms can successfully bring their existing business processes onto the mobile Internet.

Executive Seminar Objectives
"Vision to Reality" is the challenge facing executives. The seminar's goal is to help executives understand the entire scope of mobile investments - then figure out what they need to do to get the right technology in place, turned on, and used most effectively. This seminar brings you the latest ideas from industry, academia, and the best practices from corporations.

Specifically, participants will:

  • From the customer perspective, bring together the elements of mobile technology and applications in a coherent, value-enhancing way.
  • Understand E-business to M-business-the transition to multi-channel business and process models.
  • Learn the kinds of mobile platforms and infrastructure tools available and the tasks for which they're best suited, both within and outside the walls of the firm.
  • Build the confidence and knowledge necessary to effectively manage mobile initiatives.
  • Acquire best-practice strategies to get projects up and running quickly and deliver results fast.

Key Topics
The Mobile Business: Vision to Value executive seminar examines key topics such as:

  • Different types of Mobile Business Strategies
  • Different solution approaches to top-line, productivity, and cost-cutting
  • Leveraging investments - Moving from e-business to m-commerce to m-business
  • Mobile Technology - Connected Models versus Disconnected Models
  • Implementation strategies

Real World Examples
A variety of new case studies - all recently written - offer a detailed look at both successful and unsuccessful mobile business implementations. Real-world best practice examples include a utility firm using mobile asset management, a telecommunications giant in the field service area, an insurance company using mobile productivity tools, among others. By analyzing the environments, technologies, politics, and projects, participants gain a clear picture of what went right or wrong in each situation. They also get a chance to examine management issues up close - those that worked and those that failed to deliver value.

Participants
Mobile Business: Vision to Value is designed for general managers and functional executives who are tasked with new service design responsibilities. Because these responsibilities cut across the organizational chart and span legacy, enterprise, Internet, and customer-facing systems, participants will have a wide range of titles and functions and represent businesses of all sizes and industries.

The executive seminar is particularly beneficial to professionals deeply involved in the strategy, planning, selection, implementation, and management of mobile business projects. The seminar is also useful for Information Technology companies specializing in mobile products and services.
